Students take exams for a variety of reasons. Examinations are designed to help people gain entry to university or college, improve job prospects or simply measure progress in English. For many students, doing exams is a measure of English and helps them achieve their goals. At Celtic School of English, we offer many different exams and we will help you choose the exam that is right for you.
Cambridge Preliminary English Test (PET)
Cambridge First Certificate Exam (FCE)
Cambridge Advanced Certificate in English (CAE)
IELTS / TOEIC / TOEFL
All exam classes are based on a 12-week course leading up to relevant exam dates. Shorter courses can be organised.
These courses consist of:
- Writing classes
- Reading classes
- Speaking classes
- Listening classes
- Grammar classes
- Private classes
All students are assessed before course commencement. We recommend exam classes to a lot of students as the need for documented proof of English level increases. The courses are very student-centred and there is constant assessment and feedback throughout the course. Students are encouraged to help each other and we organise study groups with question and answer sessions to facilitate this.
