Enjoy Kerry

Kerry has something for everyone! Whether you’re into outdoor adventures like surfing, sailing, horse-riding or hill-walking, or you prefer a leisurely stroll through Tralee’s parks and museums, you’ll never be short of things to do.
Fancy a day trip? Killarney and the stunning Dingle Peninsula are just an hour away, both part of the iconic Wild Atlantic Way. And of course, no trip to Ireland is complete without a night out in a traditional pub, enjoying live music and meeting new people.

At Celtic School of English, we’re happy to help organise activities for you — just ask!

Sports, Activities and Relaxation

If you prefer to explore on your own, there are plenty of activities to choose from, and we can help organise them for you. You can combine General English with a diving course, or simply go diving for a day. Other local activities include horse riding, swimming, sailing, hill walking and football. For a more relaxed pace, Tralee offers excellent shopping, the Garden of the Senses in the Town Park, and the Kerry County Museum. In summer, you can visit Blennerville Windmill or sit in the town square with a coffee, watching the world go by.

Exploring Kerry and Irish Evenings

Those who wish to travel a little further can easily hop on a bus. Dingle and Slea Head are just an hour away and form part of the renowned Wild Atlantic Way, while Killarney offers its National Park, Muckross House, Torc Waterfall and the Gap of Dunloe. In the evenings, a visit to the pub is almost essential—Irish pubs are famous not just for Guinness, but for the friendly people, live music and great craic. You might even begin your night with a visit to Siamsa Tíre, the National Folk Theatre of Ireland, to enjoy a play or concert.
